Looking around this morning I notice all the ways that we are intentional about Kara’s development & how these things fit into our everyday routine. Her breakfast tray is laden with a tube for jaw strengthening, a thickened smoothie sits next to it. Inserted is a wide straw wrapped with a rubber band to cue her lips. As I'm making her juice she claps her hands with delight. She loves her morning cocktail. I note it's recipe, revealing its true purpose.

My {2.5} Year Old With Down Syndrome
My oh my, time does fly when you're having fun! Kara is now 2.5 years old! She has been up to a whole LOT in the past six months. For starters, she became a BIG SISTER two days before her 2nd birthday. The bond she has with her little sis is truly indescribable. I knew that she'd do wonderful with a baby around, but I didn't how just how wonderful. She has really grown up & is already setting a good example for little Nora.
